IGF 1 LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Long R3) is a synthetic peptide hormone that mimics the natural IGF-1 found in the human body, but with modifications to significantly increase its half-life and bioavailability. It plays a vital role in muscle development, cell repair, and nutrient uptake. The “Long R3” version has been modified to prevent it from binding to IGF-binding proteins, allowing for extended circulation and improved activity.
In athletic and bodybuilding settings, IGF 1 LR3 is used to enhance muscle hypertrophy, promote fat loss, and improve recovery from intense training. It is also favored for its potential to improve insulin sensitivity and enhance nutrient partitioning.

Dosages & Protocol
Typical Protocols:
-
Beginners: 20–40mcg per day
-
Intermediate–Advanced Users: 50–100mcg per day
-
Dosage is often split between pre- and post-workout (or bilaterally into target muscles)
-
Can be used 5 days on / 2 days off, or continuously for 4–6 weeks
PLEASE MAKE USE OF OUR PEPTIDE CALCULATOR FOR FURTHER DOSAGE GUIDANCE.
How to administer – reconstitution & injection
Reconstitution (per vial):
-
Add 1ml of bacteriostatic water to each 100mcg vial
-
Slowly inject water down the side of the vial
-
Gently swirl (do not shake) until fully dissolved
Injection Instructions:
-
Use a 1ml insulin syringe (29–31 gauge)
-
Clean injection site with an alcohol swab
-
Draw desired dose (e.g., 50mcg = 50 units if reconstituted with 1ml)
-
Administer subcutaneously or intramuscularly near the muscle group being trained
-
Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation
-
Dispose of syringes/needles safely
Storage
-
Before reconstitution: Store vials in a refrigerator (2–8°C) or a cool, dark place
-
After reconstitution: Refrigerate (2–8°C) and use within 30 days
Half-life & detectability
-
Half-life: ~20–30 hours (significantly longer than standard IGF-1)
-
Detection time: Can be detected for up to several days depending on testing methods
For athletes subject to drug testing, it is crucial to consider these detection times to avoid positive tests for banned substances.
